Here's a link to the Google document here

Present: Tiffany, Boma, David, Segun, Jahanzeb, Ruth, Amarachi, Jemima, Onyechi

The meeting was called to order at 4:20.

Boma proceeded to acknowledge the indigenous territory.

-ACSA blog:
Francis will be asked if he is interested in posting on the ACSA blog. Tiffany volunteered to start posting pictures.

-De-stress fest:
David explained De-Stress Fest. It happens in the last week of November, and  is now in its 3rd semester. Boma shared that she applied for the Community Fund Grant to fund the event. Boma added that a possible theme for the event would revolve around Ubuntu and global citizenship and she planned on asking Moussa Magassa (UVic Human Rights advisor) to make a presentation on the topic, while Taiko Drummers as well as Greg & Uche will perform. The event will take place around lunch time (11-2) in Vertigo on the 27th of November. David suggested that Moussa's presentation not last too long, probably somewhere around 15 minutes. Boma said she was ordering Mexican, African, Caribbean food as well as hot chocolate and marshmallows (suggested by Jahanzeb & Tiffany). Jahanzeb suggested ordering Indian food from the East Indian Market.

Tiffany suggested collaborating with International Commons. Other suggestions included the International Student Association; Students of Color Collective, African Eloquence Club and Human Rights Education Volunteers. These organizations would be invited to table at the event. The UVic ESL center will also be emailed to invite their students to perform at the event.

ACSA Pub crawl
David suggested a pub crawl but in lieu of underage members, maybe a potluck would suffice instead. Jahanzeb suggested contacting UVic Res (Family housing kitchen), Cedar Hill Rec Center or the Saanich Community Center for the use of their kitchen.

Role & Responsibilities
Boma, Segun and Tiffany will go over the document Boma sent to them at a later date.

ACSA Finance Report
Segun will present this at the next meeting.
