 David acknowledged the territories.

Black History Month
David suggested ACSA hosting an event to celebrate Bob Marley's birthday around February 9 in Touch or 9one9. This money (profits from $5 ticket sales) will be used to fund later events.  Segun and Francis will assist David.

Brainstormed topics for the symposium but agreed on "black identity in Canada". Francis will moderate as well as prepare some questions for the panelists ahead of time. Student panelists will also be presented with possible questions as well.

Questions:
What it means to be black in Canada?
How do you negotiate your cultural identities?
Melting pot vs mosaic imagery
What problems/challenges do you face?
How does race affect your institutional experience?
When you immigrate, what problems do you face?

It was agreed that the event should last 2 hours with a short refreshment break. Many questions and concerns were raised about what we should call the event. No name was decided.

Venue: David Strong Building (C116) which can sit about 60 people.
Advertising: On/off-campus since this is a community event.
